Watching from Florida, USA prices seem similar here for indoor rental karting. Really only kart a couple times a year, but I’m considering taking it more seriously. Looking to practice for and participate in K1 Speed GP to see how far a I get. Would be interested in any input or personal experience on the topic from anyone who can offer it

Well the driver I was versing was being annoying like this so I waited until I was at a straightaway to do this so I made it look like I was taking an inside move and he moved over to my side to block and I quickly moved back to the outside position and overtook him and moved back to the inside around a turn

At my first time in the wet, it was on a track I've never raced on and with locals, the first two laps were in the dry then it quickly got very wet, the locals never got that before and most got off track, I knew that the grip would be outside the racing line so I usually didn't got beyond the middle of the track. As for cornering, I quickly noticed that if I let my car on understeer like I do on dry, I'm slow as hell so I started getting into slight oversteers to make the car rotate and that made me a shit ton faster than the locals

Your friend had so many opportunities to pit maneuver him, or just force him off the track. But i'm glad the guy got removed. In the end, your friend won.

He might be unfair but you need to adapt your driving style. You see that you can't pass him on the outside, go on the INSIDE! Go side-by-side on the inside, push him to the extreme of the curve and get a faster exit. Less complaining and more action

The problem is your to nice and not aggressive enough You need to basically go this is how you want to play it.. this is how you will get responded to, every action has a reaction. You should have anticipated this and bumped his rear corner and out him in a spin

I feel as if leaning in prevents oversteer by taking weight off of the outside.. i lean in and win tournaments.. I guess everyone is different.

What you describe with Rotax seems insane to me. Those guys are going to go out of business with electrification in the next few years. Electrification is such a no brainer here, even more so than with cars. Batteries are so small you can probably swap them out probably faster than you can fill up. No need to do complex engine maintenance etc

nah id be so mad. sadly it happens quite a bit with inexperienced rookies, i witnessed it happen in front of me once, an experienced diver ran a rookie off the road and the rookie was just starting (it was his 3rd race i believe) couldnt pay for the damages, and quit go karting. it was sad to see but for the next race he needed 1 race win to make the playoffs, he was faster than everyone else except me, and i waited for the last turn of the last lap, saw him celebrating, then passed him on the last straight. consider it revenge mr. "professional"

365$ for a month of rental karting, I wish I could! 😂 That’s the quantity I spend in half a year. In Spain prices are usually cheaper. There are tracks which offer 3 heats for 30-36€, others are more expensive and can get up to 50€. And the rental championships are a great way to start. Usually, the cost is around 550-700€ per season, which goes from September to June. In Madrid there are some tracks which have their own races/championships, and the level is incredible. Usually there’s an amateur category and a pro one, which is where you must aim after doing 20-30 races. I hope these helps to some of my compatriots!

I went to Daytona Milton Keynes for the first time yesterday, really reminded me of how fun karting is since I haven't done it in so long. Hopefully will be able to make it a more regular thing, shame it's so expensive though.

I only just started karting half a year ago and went karting every few months, now a month or so ago I made my debut in a local championship the AOM (Austrian Outdoor Masters). Now I’ve tried to go karting more often, as you said, twice a month or so. The problem is, my parents don’t let me. I already have to pay the start fees myself, which is 600/700 minimum per weekend. I tried searching for a job, but it’s very limited because I’m only 16. You got any ideas how I can finance all this?

One more Four-stroke engine championship It’s cheaper than rm, but frame the same. Chinese engine about 20 hp (tuning) costs about 300-400$

In Russia it’s Go karting 20$ practice 10 minutes in club kart 50$ race Sport 300$ rm track day + coach (8 sessions x 15 min) 3000$ one race week class rm Russian championship (team and track)

Budget wise, on Eefde Karting, the cost is 33 EURO for 2 heats (p.p.) So on average we pay 143 EURO per month per person, I think that's quite OK :)

Some places in the world have amazing support for rental karting that there’s almost no point going into owner karting unless you want to become a real race car driver

Indoor karting locally and with KTips community help the BIKC. About £40ish a month is a good starter budget for hobby karting
